One of our brilliantly talented small business website & marketing clients is Diane Hassall – a UK based passionate shoe artist, designing a range of gorgeous hand-crafted wedding shoes and accessories.

Di was after some fresh new imagery to compliment her website. Our very own Weronika is well known for her bright and crisp photography – just take a look at her website & Instagram – so we called upon her for this image update.

The brief was for the photography to be lightly styled and not too cluttered, in order to keep the bridal shoes and accessories the main focus. These handmade shoes have so many gorgeous details, such as the intricate beading and lace, and we wanted to make sure the spotlight was on those special features which really set Di’s wedding shoes apart.

Di needed both product and lifestyle imagery, with shoes on the bed/an after wedding vibe. We wanted to include dried flowers or fresh blooms if possible, and keep a neutral and modern colour palette.

Weronika decided to use studio lights – she wanted to have full control over the lighting, so she used two soft boxes. Di sent a beautiful bunch of flowers from Bloom & Wild – an online florist and letterbox flower delivery company – to be used in the flatlays. Other small props were used to give a subtle hint towards the wedding day theme.

The photos are perfect for the Diane Hassall’s website and social platforms, as Weronika created a range of product shots and lifestyle flatlays, with fresh flowers, jewellery, and ribbon. The absolutely stunning bridal shoes are certainly the focus of the photography, with the props accentuating them, rather than distracting.
