One-to-one website expert sessions with Studio Cotton founder, Aime Cox, here in Bristol.
The perfect service for a small business in a bit of a website rut.
Our one-to-one website consultations are a relaxed, flexible session where you can ask whatever is one your mind, and get some honest, expert feedback.
We take a big-picture step back and review your website as a tool for achieving your business goals.
Each session is unique, but they’re all totally jam-packed with oodles of delicious web design, SEO, UX and/or accessibility know-how.
Once we’ve reviewed your enquiry, you’ll be able to pick a time from our calendar that works for you. If there’s nothing that suits, just drop us an email as we can usually wangle things around.
Our Explore Questionnaire is a doozy – but it seriously helps us understand your business and goals so that we can spend your session tacking as making challenges as possible.
We’ve had many consulting clients have their session funded by their local authority or other small business support organisation. Whilst we can’t help with applications, we’re always happy to liaise directly and provide required info.
Each session is focused on a single business, but that doesn’t mean one person. We have space for up to 3 visitors, and can source alternative venues if needed (may cost extra).
Our half-day sessions take place at the Studio Cotton office in central Bristol – just opposite the Register Office and close to many public transport stops and car parks.
There’s no arbitrary cut-off for asking follow-up questions or checking in. We’re always happy to help, and will recommend a follow-up session if we think it’d be worthwhile.
Studio Cotton founder Aime is totally obsessed with problem solving.
She gets her mittens on your goals and challenges, and digs with you to make sure you have the understanding, tools, and priorities for taking positive actions.
All sincerity and no judgement – we respect your small business too much to not share the harder truths and provide feedback from our extensive experience and expertise.
Honesty is nothing without kindness; as a small business ourselves we’re always empathetic to the challenges small businesses and their owners face.
It’s not a sexy word – but it is the right one. We pursue solutions and choices that just make sense based on all the factors – budget, time, goals, and most importantly, ROI.
Feeling ashamed of your website or your website know-how isn’t uncommon, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t real. If you’re worried we’ll judge you for not doing everything right, or perhaps even doing everything wrong – that’s not us at all.
We work with all sorts of small business owners with all sorts of technical experience and skills. Our only priority is helping you have a better website.
We’re always over the moon to hear how much we’ve helped our website consultation clients.
Get in touch if you’re interested in booking a website consultation. We book in 1-2 sessions per month at our studio in Bristol.
We’re always updating our website consultation FAQs but totally understand that we might’ve missed the info you need.
If you want more information, we’d love to help. Drop us a quick call during studio hours or pop an email over any time.
The Studio Cotton office does not have an accessible toilet; our facilities are located at basement level and accessed by a spiral staircase.
We are always happy to book accessible venues where needed, please get in touch before booking and we’ll find another suitable location in central Bristol.
Aime has limited availability to travel for one-to-one consultations. In these circumstances, the client is responsible for all travel costs including travel time, billed at our usual hourly rate (but agreed in advance).
There are occasions where this can be reduced, if, for example, multiple clients in the same area have booked sessions. This is offered at the discretion of Studio Cotton.
All consultations are paid for in full at the time of booking. Exceptions can be made for sessions funded by third parties/grants, these are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
All half-day consultations take part in real life unless there is an accessibility need.
Short answer, no. The resource required to include bespoke action plans in our website consulting service made the cost prohibitive, so we’ve prioritised keeping the price lower.
Join the Studio Cotton mailing list for heaps of free advice for creative small businesses. You’ll also get seven totally free checklists, and we think they’re ruddy wonderful.
