Growing up with a love of stories, Lyzi always dreamed of a career that revolved around words and pictures. While chronic illness meant not getting the qualifications she desired, she continued to pursue her goals by starting a blog in 2010, initially to share artwork she made, outfits she wore, and food she ate.
Lyzi’s blog evolved into more than she’d ever hoped, and before she knew it, she was working with big brands and making an income. However, she always preferred working with small businesses – especially those based in her chosen home of Bristol – championing their successes and sharing their stories.
Studio Cotton founder Aime took a punt based on Lyzi’s writing skills, and hired her as Content Producer in 2020, teaching her everything she knows about SEO and writing for small businesses (which is a lot).
Lyzi now spends her days writing helpful articles for the Studio Cotton blog and creating wordsy website content, as well as lovingly crafting blog posts and product descriptions for clients. One of her most favourite roles, however, is being Aime’s cheerleader and purchase-instigator, because encouraging people makes her heart happy.
